PT100 are high temperature, high accuracy sensors that you can now use in place of a thermistor or thermocouple on your E3D V6 hot end. The PT100 is able to measure higher temperatures than thermistors – up to 500 ° C – and are more accurate than thermistors and thermocouples in general.

PT100 sensors are also very easy to use because they are made of a metal cartridge construction that is secured with a set screw and no longer requires glass fibre hoses or clamping washers.

If you want to experiment with printing extremely high-temperature materials, get more accurate temperature measurements, and want a much more robust and easy to install temperature sensor, a PT100 is the ideal option.

This kit offers everything you need to start up a PT100 sensor on most machines. A controller board is required on which Marlin or Repetier runs with a free analog input pin. This kit includes a PT100 sensor and an electrical amplifier board to connect the PT100 to the controller board. This kit is compatible with all E3D hot ends.
